GALCO DYNEEMA^® PRISMA^® ROPE silver grey

This single braid rope is completely made of Dyneema® SK78 Prisma® (12 strands coated) fibers.
Galco Dyneema® Prisma® is made of Dyneema® SK78 yarns treated with a Prisma® coating to minimize the vulnerability of Dyneema® fibers and increases their service life. Dyneema® is a High Performance Fiber with excellent tensile strength and minimal elongation, the smallest of all artificial fibers. It has similar elongation as steel. Steel wire is often replaced with a Dyneema® rope as strong as steel, but 10 times lighter.

Due to its specific gravity it floats on the surface of the water. The performance and abrasion resistance of a braid made of a Prisma® shielded yarn with already impregnated surface is several times higher than that of a Dyneema® braid that has been subsequently coated. The protective coating on the yarn forms a water-repellent layer that ensures non-slip contact and also protects against UV rays. It does not absorb water.  This general purpose rope is ideal for e.g. loops, shackles, rigging, boom vang, outhaul and cunningham. It is also very good for kite surfing lines.
