INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND SAFETY

The tensile strength of the ropes is given in kilograms (kg), however, the exact unit of force required to break is the kilonewton (kN).

The conversion between the two units can be done by the following formula:

From Kg to kN: 0.00981 times the value given in kg

From kN to kg: 101,972 times the value given in kN

It is the responsibility of the user to determine the appropriate safety conditions and the level of safe working load. All risk factors, attenuating effects and life expectancy of the rope must be taken into consideration before determining the safety conditions.

The load capacity values given in the tables are average values measured on new products under laboratory conditions at room temperature (approx. 25 ° C) which may be modifiable without prior notification. The effect of use and the natural medium results in a decrease in tensile strength.

In order to preserve the properties of the product and to avoid premature damage, it is recommended that the average load of the ropes under the right conditions does not exceed 30% of the declared tensile strength. In the case of dynamic and / or sudden loads, an even lower value is to be expected.

At knotted points, the value of tensile strength can be reduced by more than 50%.

When mounting the rope, use the mounting methods recommended by the manufacturer, as the durability of the rope may be significantly reduced due to improper mounting.

The product under load should not come into contact with sharp corners or rough surfaces. All equipment (pulleys, winches, drums) should be regularly reviewed and maintained in good condition to avoid the damage of the rope.

All ropes should be inspected regularly. It should be not forgotten that no type of visual inspection provides guaranteed, detailed information on the actual residual strength level of the rope. The use of a rope that shows signs of aging and wear should be avoided. If the strands appear worn out at any part on the rope, it is recommended that the rope be reassembled, downgraded, or replaced to avoid personal injury and / or property damage.

To remove dirt, sand and salt, the ropes should be washed regularly with fresh sweet water. It is recommended to dry them away from direct heat sources. Store in a dry place, protected from light and UV rays.

Here are some more factors to consider when setting security conditions:

– CONTACT WITH CHEMICALS

– EXPOSURE TO UV RADIATION

– EXPOSURE TO HIGH TEMPERATURES

– WEAR

– OPERATOR EXPERIENCE AND AWARENESS

– LIFE-SPAN OF THE ROPE BEYOND THE EXPECTED LIFE

Place worn rope in the household waste bin.

Under no circumstances shall Galco Kft. and its suppliers be liable for damages resulting from improper use of the products: any deviation from the instructions for use described in this information shall be considered incorrect and improper use.

Floats: Due to its lower specific gravity than water, the product is floating on the surface of water

It sinks due to its higher specific gravity than water

Melting: A thermofusible substance. The ends are melting to disintegration of the ends can be prevented. The ends must be burned with a hot cutter or melting the ends after cutting

Burn / Does not melt: When exposed to heat, the fibers do not melt but burn. Before cutting, it is advisable to wrap the cutting point with tape in advance. This prevents the ends from coming apart.

UV stable: Material damage due to UV rays is minimal

Not UV stable: Damage to the material due to UV rays is significant, not recommended outdoors.

Wear-resistant: abrasion-resistant material, recommended for long-term use.

Not abrasion resistant: direct rubbing will damage the material

Easy to splice
